Explore the storytelling power of illustration and design your own comic book! Students are introduced to professional processes involved in illustration as you learn to master new tools and techniques in drawing, lettering, and page design. Be inspired by various cultures and time periods from the MFA Collection as you develop a narrative and examine visual techniques to develop their own personal style.

About the Instructor
Marion Eisenmann was born and raised in Germany, where she developed a classical foundation in music and the visual arts. Her passion is developing and executing innovative and original concepts for amusement parks, interactive learning, and immersive experiences in the form of conceptual sketches, key art, storyboards, and design. Lately Marion Eisenmann has been working as a story artist on a monthly graphic novel series. She devotes much of her free time to art education. Marion taught eight consecutive years at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, instructed workshops and courses at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art in Van Nuys, the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood, and the Huntington Gardens and Library in Pasadena.
