This special evening begins with a visit to the Linde Family Wing to tour a new installation from the MFA’s contemporary collection. View a variety of work with a focus on artists whose work is ripe for reassessment. Examine aesthetics of painters such as Helen Frankenthaler, Frank Bowling, Sam Gilliam and their relationship to color. On our way to the studio, stop at Taste Café to pick up wine, coffee, or something cold to take with you to the art-space next door.

In the second hour, observe a painting demonstration and explore color relationships on canvas panel. Bring a friend or make a few as you discover some of the excitement of painting.

Supplies provided.
