Go on a gallery expedition to explore lost artifacts from Old Kingdom Egyptian art, learn stories behind Roman Emperors and Empresses found in ancient relics, decipher hieroglyphics, and adorn yourself with Nubian jewels made in the studio.

Please provide a nut-free lunch, snacks, utensils, water bottle, extra masks, smock and picnic blanket.

Registration for February, April, and Summer vacation week classes ends at Noon the Friday before the class starts.

Accessibility

Due to the building’s historic architecture, the third-floor classrooms, 305A, 305B, 305D and 305E, are not wheelchair-accessible and must be accessed by stairs. Please let us know in advance if the student has limited mobility; we can make accommodations, including relocating the class to an accessible space.

About the Instructor

Ashley Karamanis holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in Art Education from Tufts University in affiliation with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and a Bachelors of Fine Arts from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
