In this special opportunity to hear from the curator of “Monet and Boston: Lasting Impression,” gain insights into Claude Monet’s work and what makes the MFA’s collection of the Impressionist master’s paintings unique. Even during Monet’s lifetime, Boston was a center for collecting Monet’s paintings. In honor of its 150th anniversary, the Museum celebrates a great treasure with an exhibition that offers a once-in-generation chance to see all 35 of the MFA’s oil paintings by Monet. Enjoy insights into Boston’s special relationship to the painter and the paintings, discuss them with colleagues, and make connections to other areas of the collection.
