Come to My Voice (Were Dengê Min) by Hüseyin Karabey (2014, 90 min.). In a snowy Kurdish mountain village in eastern Turkey, Temo is arrested along with the other men of the village. Accused of hiding guns, the local police refuse to release the men until their families hand over the nonexistent weapons. Desperate and alone, Temo’s family sets off in search of a gun to trade for his freedom. But how will their innocence and naïveté overcome a system that threatens to draw them into the sullied world of an interminable conflict?
