Directed by Albert Dupontel (France, 2017, 117 min.). Digital. French with English subtitles.

November 1918: after obeying a senseless order from their superior, Lieutenant Pradelle (Laurent Lafitte), a gifted young artist named Édouard (Nahuel Pérez Biscayart) saves the life of fellow soldier Albert (Albert Dupontel). This harrowing moment on the battlefield creates a lifelong bond between these very different men. Sharing a shabby Paris apartment after the war, they hatch a monumental plan to get rich quick while taking down the villainous Lieutenant Pradelle. Mixing whimsical surrealism with chilling images of war, See You Up There is an epic tale of unlikely friendship and the power of imagination.
