Directed by Almudena Carracedo and Robert Bahar (USA/Spain, 2018, 96 min.). Digital.

Executive produced by Pedro Almodóvar, this documentary reveals the epic struggle of victims of Spain’s 40-year dictatorship under General Franco. Filmed over six years, the film follows victims and survivors as they continue to seek justice, organizing the groundbreaking “Argentine Lawsuit” and fighting a state-imposed amnesia of crimes against humanity in a country still divided four decades into democracy.

"Intricately fascinating material . . . stoically tender. "—Variety
