Directed by Ida Lupino (USA, 1966, 112 min.). Format TBD.
In this beloved comedy about a fierce female friendship, Mary (Hayley Mills) and Rachel (June Harding) begin school at St. Francis Academy, a boarding school run by the iron fist of Mother Superior (Rosalind Russell). The two girls form a fast friendship, as well as a reputation for terrorizing their pious classmates and teachers with ruthless pranks. But as the years pass, Mary and Rachel begin to take a more sympathetic view of the nuns and their spirituality.
