Join Samuel Gareginyan for an artist demonstration focusing on the fine art of the still life. Watch as Mr. Gareginyan creates a painting following the centuries old techniques. Observe how colors are rendered and texture is achieved in this art of exacting detail.
Afterward, step inside the European galleries with a new eye for detail and look at some of the works of the renowned still life painters such as the Spanish artist Luis Melendez.
Samuel Gareginyan teaches studio art classes and workshops at the Museum of Fine Arts. In addition to his still life art, Mr. Gareginyan also creates portraits, and small and big figurative compositions in different techniques and media. His art has been exhibited in galleries throughout the United States, Latin America, and Eurasia.
This is a drop-in program. Come anytime and stay for as long as you would like.
