Artist Toolbox Cart

Discover how artists turn a blank canvas into a finished painting or transform a block of stone into a sculpture. Drop by and handle the tools and materials that artists use and view demonstration pieces and artwork reproductions that reveal how artists create objects like the ones surrounding you. Ask questions and discuss techniques with knowledgeable staff.

Look for the Artist Toolbox Carts in the galleries on Wednesday evenings and weekend afternoons. Featured techniques include painting, mosaics, marble sculpture, furniture design, silver, stained glass, or Japanese woodblock prints.

Free with Museum admission.
