Perhaps best known as fearsome and bloodthirsty, the gods of the different cultures of ancient MesoAmerica are celebrated, venerated and appeased in works of art. Looking at ceramics, works made in jade, and sculptures, we will explore the many different facets of the gods of MesoAmerica. This gallery talk will be led by graduate student gallery talk lecturer, Denva Jackson.
Made possible by The Lowell Institute.
