Participate in this introductory workshop to learn about the research-based pedagogy Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS), which develops students’ visual literacy and critical thinking skills through facilitated conversations with works of art. Attendees look closely at works of art with fellow teachers, and learn this approach by participating in VTS discussions facilitated by MFA School Programs staff and Gallery Instructors. The workshop also introduces the process of choosing works of art that work best for your students and the VTS teaching method.
