Concerts in the Courtyard Policies

Event Policies


Doors open 90 minutes before the concert start time. Courtyard seating is limited; low lawn chairs (3 feet or under when unfolded) and/or blankets are recommended. Tall chairs are not permitted.

Food and Personal Property

You may bring your own food and nonalcoholic beverages. All bags are subject to inspection by Museum staff. Large bags, coolers, and tall chairs are not permitted.

Inclement Weather

Concerts are held outdoors in the Calderwood Courtyard, weather permitting. The weather decision is made on the day of the concert.

In case of inclement weather, concerts move indoors to Remis Auditorium with doors opening at 7 pm. Members who purchase tickets for the Restaurant Terrace receive premium seating in the first three rows of the auditorium.

If the concert moves inside, no lawn chairs, large bags, or outside food are allowed in Remis Auditorium. All such items must be checked at the Huntington or Fenway coat check. Food and beverages purchased at Taste Café may be brought into the auditorium.

Sold Out Concerts

For sold out concerts, additional tickets may become available on the day of the performance. If the concert is held outside, additional tickets may become available at 2 pm on the day of the concert. To purchase day-of tickets, please check the event page for the concert, or call 1-800-440-6975. If the concert is moved inside due to inclement weather, no additional tickets will be released.
