Explore techniques, materials, and innovative combinations, and experiment with watercolor, acrylic, ink, and found papers. Take risks with collage, printmaking, altered book, monotype, and visit the galleries for reference, inspiration, and demonstrations. 

Are you under the age of 14 and signing up for both a morning and afternoon session? Don’t forget to register for Supervised Lunch, sold separately. Supervised lunch cannot be sold with the registration of a single class. Students under the age of 14 and registered in both a morning and afternoon summer studio art class are required to purchase supervised lunch. It is not an option for those students to be dismissed for lunch.

Ticketing Policies


Due to the building’s historic architecture, the third-floor classrooms, 305A, 305B, 305D and 305E, are not wheelchair-accessible and must be accessed by stairs. Please let us know in advance if the student has limited mobility; we can make accommodations, including relocating the class to an accessible space.

About the Instructor

Amanda Low is a recent graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, MA, where she double majored in elementary education and American history. She has taught at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston as a Studio Art intern, teaching assistant, and now as lead teacher.
