Be inspired by the MFA’s collection of fashion, textiles, and art to create your own line of contemporary fashions. Work in a studio setting and learn to draw the fashion figure, silhouettes, and textiles with a focus on building a collection. Render fashion plates using color pencil and markers, while also learning how to present them professionally.

Are you under the age of 14 and signing up for both a morning and afternoon session? Don’t forget to register for Supervised Lunch sold separately.

About the Instructor

Sarah Gay-O’Neill is an award-winning illustrator with a particular fondness for the liveliness of fashion as well as the static quiet of abandoned structures. Her work and skill is diverse yet cohesive. She can be found live-illustrating at various couture fashion events throughout the US, whether it is the launch of a new shoe or the release of a season’s haute trend. When not illustrating, Sarah can be found teaching in the Illustration Department at Lesley University College of Art & Design, Masssachusetts College of Art & Design, as well as working in a media lab at Harvard University. Sarah’s fine art has exhibited throughout New England, New York, and various cities throughout the US.
