The MFA is looking for passionate, motivated, group-oriented, mature, and creative teenagers for the STEAM Team Fellowship. The STEAM Team is the MFA’s exciting new workforce development program and paid fellowship opportunity for Boston teens (must attend a Boston Public School and/or live in Boston). The STEAM Team offers Fellows the opportunity to explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) careers in a world-renowned cultural institution. Fellows will cultivate workforce development skills while learning about a range of academic and professional options in these fields. Fellows will dive into hands-on experiential learning activities with MFA staff Mentors in each of the corresponding STEAM disciplines and visit local businesses and organizations that are dynamic leaders in the STEAM fields.

This Fellowship opportunity will include field trips to large organizations and startups around New England doing cutting-edge work in STEAM disciplines. We will offer Fellows professional development trainings from some of the leading minds in STEAM disciplines and social justice and engagement.

STEAM Team Fellows will be paid $12 per hour. The program will be from late June until mid-August 2018 and include a yearlong component 1 to 3 evenings after school per month starting from September 2018 to June 2019. Fellows must be available Monday through Friday for 6 weeks between July to mid-August 2018 as well as a 1 to 3 evenings after school per month from September 2018 until June 2019.
