Update: October 2021

The Museum is currently rethinking the group experience. We are working to welcome groups back to the MFA in fall 2022. Please check back for updates on our progress.

Sign up for LCE Newsletter to receive updates. Please see our Digital Learning and Programs pages for current offerings.

The Museum offers self-guided and guided tour options of the Museum’s collections, and guided tours for special exhibitions. Guided tours are conducted in English only. To avoid crowds, we suggest that you visit during the weekday during afternoon hours.

Groups enjoy discounted admission, a dedicated entrance, and other group privileges.

For reservations, please complete the online request form at least four weeks prior to your preferred dates. You will receive an e-mail confirmation. For cancellations, changes, or more information, e-mail groups@mfa.org or call 617-369-3310.

Trained guides lead one-hour guided tours (English only). All requests are subject to guide availability. There is no maximum size limit for Adult groups, however we suggest no more than 20 visitors per guide for the best experience.

Groups are welcome to discover the Museum on their own. There is no time limit on your visit.

Guided options are available for Gund Gallery exhibitions.
