We are currently accepting internship applications for summer 2013. (See complete list of available opportunities below.) These opportunities are based in a variety of Museum departments and seek students from a broad spectrum of majors & disciplines.
Also, we are delighted to offer two Lunder Summer Internships, (one in Objects Conservation and one in Contemporary Art ), sponsored by The Lunder Foundation. These are needs-based internships which provide modest stipends. In addition to meeting the job-specific requirements, qualified applicants must provide proof of (a) residency in the state of Maine; (b) enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college/university - either in or outside of Maine, and; (c) proof of Federal Student Aid eligibility. (Please see the full description of each position for all of the qualifications for each internship.)
Before applying for any of our internships, please review carefully the detailed application procedures and the 'Frequently Asked Questions' found at (http://www.mfa.org/employment/internship-opportunities.) Applications which do not conform to posted procedures will not be acknowledged or processed.
Properly formatted applications are assessed on a rolling basis as received and internships are removed from this listing as they are filled. We hope to complete our selection process for all internships no later than April 22. Please submit your application at your earliest convenience in order to receive full consideration.
