Celebrated for abstract imagery that recalls cellular structures and other biological systems, Terry Winters (born 1949) rose to prominence in the early 1980s. The exhibition focuses on prints and drawings by the New York-based artist, whose wide-ranging interests encompass scientific processes and mathematical theories. Approximately 50 works on paper will be on view, ranging in date from 1982 to 2014. The artist’s fascination with variations is explored through a number of series, shown in their entirety or in part.
