Artful Adventures Home School Program

Information

Artful Adventures offers two specially designed home school classes for children ages 3 and older on Friday mornings and afternoons from September through June. Each visit lasts an hour and a half and includes gallery exploration and a related art-making activity.

Special arrangements can be made for groups of 10 or more children that are unable to visit the MFA on Fridays. For more information please visit Artful Adventures.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are only available online. Tickets for the current week's class are only available for sale until 1pm on Wednesday.

Ages

Children are divided into four different age groups: 3-5 years, 6-8 years, 9-11 years, and teens. Topics and art activities are different for each age group and class session.

Tickets

Pricing

  • $9.50 per child (includes materials and Museum admission)
  • One adult is admitted FREE with each purchased child ticket and also receives a discount on parking in Museum facilities. Additional adults $25.

Purchase

Although members receive free admission into the Museum, a paid course ticket is requred for each child participating in the Artful Adventures Home School classes. We no longer offer day-of ticket sales at the Museum. Tickets need to be purchased online in advance of each class date. Purchasing tickets ahead of time ensures that we can adequately prepare for each class and have enough instructors to maintain small group sizes.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are only available online. Tickets for the current week's class are only available for sale until 1pm on Wednesday.

Class Cancelations, Snow Closings, and Refund Policy

We regret that there is no makeup, refund, or rescheduling for classes missed by a child, even those due to inclement weather. Refunds are given only if the class is cancelled by the MFA. In the event of a cancellation parents will be contacted as far in advance as possible and will then have the opportunity to apply their child's ticket to a future class date or receive a refund.
