bookmarkTo enroll your child in any of the Artful Adventures Home School classes, please click Tickets & Information or browse by theme and art activity using the links on the right. Although members receive free admission into the Museum, a paid course ticket is required for each child participating in the Artful Adventures Home School classes.

Tickets must be purchased in advance, and are only available online. Tickets for the current week's class are only available for sale until 1 pm on Wednesday.

We no longer offer day-of ticket sales at the Museum. Tickets need to be purchased online in advance of each class date. Purchasing tickets ahead of time ensures that we can adequately prepare for each class by having enough teachers and materials and can maintain small group sizes.

bookmarkOne adult chaperone is FREE with each purchased child ticket and also receives a discount on parking in Museum facilities. Additional adults $25.

Adults are always welcome to stay with their child throughout the duration of the class.

bookmarkWe regret that there is no makeup, refund, or rescheduling for classes missed by a child, even those due to inclement weather. Refunds are given only if the class is cancelled by the MFA. Each week a minimum of 8 children is required in order for a particular age group's class to run. Parents will be e-mailed by the end of the day on Wednesday if their child's class is cancelled due to low enrollment, and will have the opportunity to apply their child's ticket to a future class date.

bookmarkThe Museum has three parking options for cars and vans: the Huntington Lot, the Fenway Lot, and the Museum Road Garage. The entrances to all three parking areas are located on Museum Road, which connects Huntington Avenue and the Fenway outside of the Museum’s Linde Family Wing.

Drivers can receive the members parking rate by presenting their Home School Class admissions ticket to a parking attendant in the Museum Road Garage lobby before paying upon departure.

Parents and guardians can also receive up to 30 minutes free parking in the MFA Garage by presenting your Home School Class admissions ticket and white parking ticket to the garage attendant in the garage office.

bookmarkThe ticket(s) you purchased may be picked up at the Huntington or State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance’s admissions desk or at a ticketing kiosk. The Fenway Entrance is closest to both meeting locations, but you may enter through either one of the main entrances at any time after 10 am.

If you arrive late please go to an admissions desk or to the Sharf Information Center so that a staff member can help you join the group.

Morning

Please enter through either the Huntington or State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance and pick up your ticket(s) at a ticketing kiosk or at the admissions desk. You may enter the Museum at anytime after 10 am. We will be meeting in the Education Center in the Druker Family Pavilion, Room 160 before each class. Please meet your instructors in the classroom by 10:15 am - we will begin our programming at 10:30 am.

Afternoon

Please enter through the State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance and pick up your ticket(s) at a ticketing kiosk or at the admissions desk. If you wish to arrive before the program begins at 1:30 pm you may enter the Museum at anytime after 10 am. We will be meeting in the Alfond Auditorium Lobby before each class. Please use the staircase or elevator on Level 1 (Room 140) to get to Level G. Please meet your instructors in the Lobby by 1:15 pm - we will begin our programming at 1:30 pm.

bookmarkPlease bring and retrieve your child to and from the meeting location and stay with them until the Museum Instructors arrive. Children that are 5 years old and up may be dropped off for the duration of the class, but your instructor will ask you to leave your name and cell phone number in case of emergency.

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For their safety they cannot enter, exit, or spend time in the galleries without a parent, guardian, or Museum Instructor.

bookmarkAll parcels, umbrellas, and bags larger than 11" x 15" must be checked, including backpack-style child carriers. Bags in excess of 11"x15" containing needed medical equipment or for use in nursing or baby care are allowed in the Museum. Baby strollers are allowed in all galleries, but they may not be left unattended. Please leave strollers with a guard at one of the coat checks when not in use.

bookmarkParents are responsible for the behavior of their child(ren). If you choose to stay with the group during the tour, please help your child(ren) follow these guidelines.

Works of art in the Museum should not be touched.

Use walking feet in the Museum.

Use inside voices.

Always stay together as a group.

Please don't eat, drink, or chew gum in the galleries.

Baby strollers must be left with a guard at one of the coat checks when not in use.

bookmarkPhotography without a flash is allowed in most galleries. Flash photography and video are only permitted in the art studio. Your Museum instructor will let you know if the group enters a gallery where photography is not allowed.
