Red Light – France is very nice (Kırmızı Işık – Fransa Çok Güzel)by Yasemin Akıncı (Short Doc., 2014, 14 min.) The documentary observes a day of three Roman women who live in a suburb of Toulouse in caravans, earning their living by washing car windows at red lights, and hanging to life by their joyful songs. The film draws attention to the conditions of Roman minorities in France.   

Coffee (Kahve), by Onur Ertekin (Short, 2015, 10 min.) Ayşe works in a coffee shop, waiting for a promotion, but instead she is selected as the “employee of the year” for five consecutive years. This year, once again, she waits to hear about her promotion but what she receives in its place is a coffee machine. This machine will let her down as well…

The Next One (Sıradaki), by Gündüz Sevdi (Short, 2015, 15 min.) Umut works in the family-owned auto-repair show with his father and older brother. He wins the university exam but his father won’t let him go to school. Umut, however, rather than meeting the expectations of his family and the society, wants to live his life his own way. 

The Well (Kuyu)by Selman Nacar (Short, 2015, 20 min.) Ali begins to build a well to deal with the problem of accessing water. The village is on barren and arid land. Due to the lack of nearby stones, the people of the village all contribute time to bring stones to Ali. One day, Ali finds out about the death of his brother. Ali, who now according to the tradition has to marry his pregnant sister-in-law, discloses his deepest secret to the well.

Beyond the Walls (Duvarların Ardında), by Semih Korhan Güner (Short, 2015, 20 min.) After an unexpected phone conversation, Nihan, mother of two, will have to face a fear which she thought she had left in the past long ago. Her husband, who left her years ago, comes back home to spend his last days as he suffers from a fatal disease.

Mother Virgin No More (Gri Bölge), by Derya Durmaz (Short, 2015, 7 min.) An old habit of a young woman, laughing when nervous, causes the person who knows her best, her mother, to find out she is not a virgin any more. Now it’s the loving, caring, mother - daughter relationship that is virgin no more…
