To complement the exhibit Follow the North Star: Inuit Art from the Collection of Estrellita and Yousuf Karsh, MFA Film presents a selection of films by and about the Inuit people of the Canadian Arctic. The lineup includes two films by renowned Inuit filmmaker Zacharias Kanuk: Searchers (2016) and Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner (2001); Alethea Arnaquq-Baril’s documentary Angry Inuk, which makes a case for the importance of seal hunting to the survival of Inuit communities; and Linda Matchan and Susan Gray’s documentary Circus Without Borders, about two friends on a mission to bring hope and change to struggling communities through circus events.

While you’re here, check out the Summer Pop-Up Shop in the lowest level of the American Wing, featuring unique sculptures and limited edition prints made by contemporary Inuit Artists.
