34 years after he was elected president, Ronald Reagan remains a symbol of conservative values in the United States. This series showcases some of Reagan’s quintessential acting roles – as a sheriff, a soldier, a secret service agent, a football star and more – to investigate the genesis of his public persona and the ideologies embedded in mid-20th century Hollywood films. These rollicking thrillers and pulpy crime dramas place young Reagan on screen with stars like Angie Dickenson, Errol Flynn and John Cassavetes, creating a film experience that’s fascinating and fun to watch.

All films on DVD or BluRay except The Killers and Law and Order, which are on 35mm.
