Now in its 11th year, the Boston Palestine Film Festival is a global showcase of compelling films that offer independent views of Palestine’s history, culture, and geographically dispersed society. This year’s festival opens with Raed Andoni’s award-winning documentary Ghost Hunting, in which the filmmaker confronts his “ghosts” by building a replica of the Israeli interrogation center where he was jailed at age 18. After the screening, enjoy a free reception with live Palestinian music in Taste Café, outside the theater. The festival closes with Carol Mansour’s film Stitching Palestine, which profiles 12 Palestinian women from around the world connected by the enduring thread of the ancient art of embroidery.
