Celebrate the historical sweep and technical wizardry of the UCLA Film & Television Archive in this program of feature films, television programs, newsreels, and shorts starring your screen favorites including Robert Altman, Cher, Claudette Colbert, Buster Keaton, Cecil B. DeMille, Dick Powell, Douglas Sirk, and Barbara Loden.

In addition to the UCLA Festival of Preservation titles, the MFA has programmed three additional new 35mm prints: On the Bowery, Come Back, Africa, and We Won't Grow Old Together.

Nothing compares to celluloid, but digital filmmaking offers new opportunities for artistic expression as seen in Side by Side, a new documentary screening as part of this film event.
