MFA Studio Art Classes for Adults

Whether you’re new to art or advanced in your skills and seeking a creative challenge, Studio Art Classes are an affordable, fun way to explore the medium, improve your technique, and meet other art enthusiasts! 

Introduce yourself to the fundamentals of drawing, or basic color and composition of acrylic painting. Practice various approaches to charcoal and pastel drawings or paint from a live model. Learn how material, form, and space define sculpture. Or make new friends over a cold beer while drawing in local pubs. The MFA offers a variety of drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, and many more classes for everyone, with both day and evening options available.

Multiple-Week Classes

bookmarkMFA studio art classes and workshops offer a unique combination of access to a rich and diverse art collection and personal instruction by experienced educators and professional artists.

The adult program classes are offered year long: fall, winter, spring, and summer. Classes meet once a week for 4, 6, 8, or 10 weeks.

Class sizes are limited to ensure that all students benefit from these experiences. The MFA provides courses for all experience levels. If you are unsure of what level to take or have specific questions you may call the Studio Art Staff at 617-369-3295.
