MFA Studio Art Classes for Preschool and Children.

Children’s program is intended for ages 4–11 (grouped by age) 5–6, 7–8, and 9–11 and includes weekly Saturday classes, Sunday classes, school School vacation Vacation Week and summer Journeys through Art programs, and workshops. The preschool and children’s classes are taught by experienced educators who are professional artists.

Preschool Program

Designed for children ages 4–5, who are accompanied by an adult. Preschool sessions meet once a week for five weeks.

Children Saturday and Sunday Classes

Children’s program is intended for ages 5–6, 7–8, and 9–11. Classes meet once a week for ten week sessions that meet during the fall, winter, and spring. Students sketch in and explore the Museum’s galleries, then respond to what they have seen through drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, printmaking projects, and more.

On Sale in Early January: Children's Summer Program

Studio Art Classes offer the Weekly Journeys through Art program for children. Weekly Journeys through Art consist of a four- or five-day, morning or afternoon course that focuses on a specific theme. Groups of up to twelve children (grouped by age) discover new places and cultures; visit our galleries; and draw, paint, sculpt, collage, print, and more in the studio classroom. Themes include Art of Europe, Art of the Americas, Creatures of the MFA, Toy Making, and more!
