Museum Council

Get to know some of our newest Museum Council Members.

Why did you initially decide to join the Council?

We’ve always been avid art lovers and supporters of the MFA, but the Museum became a truly special place for us after we got married there in April 2018. Since then, we’ve wanted to make the MFA part of our daily lives and feel like the Museum Council is a wonderful way to do that. We find ourselves coming back to the MFA now more than ever before!

What event are you most looking forward to this season?

We are really excited about the Curatorial Dinner with Frederick Ilchman in February 2020. We’ve had the pleasure of being on a few tours that he has led in the past and they are always captivating and eye-opening. In fact, the MFA’s curatorial tours are always amazing!

What is your favorite exhibition you have seen at the MFA?

We have been absolutely in love with Dale Chihuly’s glass art ever since visiting Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle several years ago. His Lime Green Icicle Tower in the Shapiro Family Courtyard is a masterpiece and fits its large, commanding space perfectly.
