Imam Muhammad Nabeel of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center recites verses from suras (chapters) 47 and 48 of the Qurʾan. Referred to as Sura al-Fath or The Triumph, chapter 48 is about the successful conclusion of a negotiation between Muhammad and the Qurayshi tribe of Mecca.

Listen to the recitation of these verses from suras 47 and 48 here or visit the Arts of Islamic Cultures gallery to see them in calligraphic form.

Sura 48 begins with these words: In the name of God, the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy. Truly We have opened up a path to clear triumph for you [Prophet], so that God may forgive you your past and future sins, complete His grace upon you, guide you to a straight path, and help you mightily.
