For the inaugural “Huntington Avenue Entrance Commission,” the MFA invited artist Alan Michelson, a Mohawk member of Six Nations of the Grand River, to create site-specific, monumental works for the entrance of the Museum’s historic building. Starting in November visitors can view The Knowledge Keepers just outside our Huntington Avenue Entrance, before they even step inside the MFA.
Hear Michelson speak about his project during our Deborah and Martin Hale Visiting Artist Lecture and enjoy a private member reception with the artist after the lecture.
This program is scheduled to be an in-person event, however, details may be subject to change.
