Ayana V. Jackson is a visual artist whose work is on view in “Deep Waters: Four Artists and the Sea.” Spend the evening with Ayana learning about Drexciya—a mythical aquatic utopia populated by descendants of the pregnant African women who perished in the Atlantic Ocean during the Middle Passage—and other inspiration behind the artist’s work.
