The late Alexander McQueen once described British fashion as “confident and fearless...generating a constant flow of new ideas whilst drawing in British heritage.” From the comfort of our homes and offices, we will “armchair travel” together to London to explore the world of Alexander McQueen. Our three day immersion begins on Tuesday, April 20, with a behind-the-scenes chat and demonstration at Michelin-starred restaurant The Three Chimneys on the Isle of Skye—a location that held deep meaning for the late designer. Then, on April 21 and 22, hear from two of  McQueen’s close friends: the photographer Ann Ray, who was a behind-the-scenes fixture at fashion shows, and the jeweler Shaun Leane, who partnered with McQueen to create some of the house’s most iconic ensembles. Joining in these conversations about McQueen’s legacy and impact are collector Susan Barrett, who has the largest privately held collection of McQueen fashion, and journalist Melanie Grant, who last year authored Coveted: Art and Innovation in High Jewelry.
