Adventures in Art for Children on the Autism Spectrum

Class Description: Mindfulness & Watercolor

In this art class, we will embark on a journey of mindfulness and creativity through the medium of watercolor painting. We will start by immersing ourselves in the serene atmosphere of the museum's galleries, exploring various artworks and allowing them to inspire us. During our gallery visit, we will practice mindfulness techniques, to fully engage with the art and cultivate a sense of calm and presence.

After our gallery experience, we will return to the classroom to unleash our artistic expressions using watercolors. Guided by our newfound mindfulness, we will explore different techniques and experiment with color blending, washes, and brush strokes to create our own unique masterpieces. Through this art class, we will not only develop our artistic skills but also cultivate a deeper connection with the creative process. Join us on this journey of mindfulness and watercolor as we explore the beauty of art and inner peace.
