Adventures in Art for Children on the Autism Spectrum

Fashion Unraveled: A Dazzling Dive into Design

In our dynamic art class, we delve into the exciting world of fashion, a field integral to human culture for centuries, serving as a unique window into the past and allowing creative self-expression. We explore the transformative role of fashion, from personal identity, social status, to cultural beliefs, tracing its evolution in harmony with societal changes. Our session includes a detailed examination of the MFA's fashion collection, studying unique styles, materials, and their cultural significance, thereby enhancing our appreciation for fashion as a reflection of the world around us. We then put theory into practice in our studio session, where we design our own bags, inspired by the studied pieces. This hands-on experience, involving various materials and techniques, helps us channel our inner fashion designers, showcasing our personal styles and creative visions. Join us in this session to unlock your creative potential while gaining a deeper understanding of fashion's role in society and art history.
