In our dynamic art class, we delve into the exciting world of fashion, a field integral to human culture for centuries, serving as a unique window into the past and allowing creative self-expression. We explore the transformative role of fashion, from personal identity, social status, to cultural beliefs, tracing its evolution in harmony with societal changes. Our session includes a detailed examination of the MFA's fashion collection, studying unique styles, materials, and their cultural significance, thereby enhancing our appreciation for fashion as a reflection of the world around us. We then put theory into practice in our studio session, where we design our own bags, inspired by the studied pieces. This hands-on experience, involving various materials and techniques, helps us channel our inner fashion designers, showcasing our personal styles and creative visions.
