Explore several remarkable examples from this exhibition featuring a range of artistic hands from the 17th century to today. Makers include many known and some unidentified quilters, urban and rural, immigrants, and Black, Latinx, Indigenous, Asian, and LGBTQ+ Americans. The exhibition celebrates the artistry and intricacy of quilts and the lives they document, while also considering the complicated legacies ingrained in the fabric of American life.
