MFA Boston's superb collection of Asian textiles, rarely on view, contains a variety of remarkable silks, a form of textile invented and arguably perfected in Asia. Members of Curators Circles: Gingko Society, Threads, and Arts of South Asia and the Middle East come together for a close look at some of the most important silk textiles in the Museum’s collection. Curators from Art of Asia as well as Textile and Fashion Arts guide us through this art excursion across the Asian continent and through time.
Co-organized by Curators Circles: Art of South Asia and the Middle East, Gingko Society, and Threads.
This program is scheduled to be an in-person event, however details may be subject to change.
Exclusively for members of Curators Circles: Art of South Asia and the Middle East, Gingko Society, and Threads
