Class Description
Material Expressions: Wood
Wood is one of the most versatile materials available to artists, used for sculpture, paper, charcoal, and more. Taking inspiration from the contemporary sculptures in “Martin Puryear:Nexus,” as well ancient wooden Bodhisattva sculptures, make paper, carve balsa wood sculptures, and create charcoal drawings and rubbings that celebrate the mutability, strength, and responsiveness of this material.
Instructors: Emily Auchincloss and Siiri Pombar

Ticket Information
Pre-registration is required for each child participating in Artful Adventures Home School classes. Each four-session ticket package must be purchased online in advance, and is only available for sale until noon on the Monday three weeks before the first session. We do not offer day-of ticket sales at the Museum.
We regret that there is no make-up, refund, or rescheduling for classes missed by a child, even those due to inclement weather. Refunds are given only if the class is cancelled by the MFA.
