The MFA’s collection of Islamic jewelry, which includes North African enameled necklaces, Middle Eastern headwear, and South Asian bangles and pendants, spans two continents and hundreds of years. Delve into recent curatorial research with Jasmine Society curators, as well as special guest Emily Stoehrer, Rita J. Kaplan and Susan B. Kaplan Senior Curator of Jewelry, to learn how jewelers designed pieces that produce sound and reflect light, and how wearers modified pieces to suit their needs.
