Celebrate two important Indian jewels in our collection—the newly acquired jali brooch (2024), made with gold, emerald, and diamond by Mumbai-based artist Viren Bhagat, and the platinum, emerald, and diamond Marjorie Merriweather Post brooch (1929).

This vibrant program allows you to look closely at these jewels, which have long and layered histories linking Mughal design and materials to the 20th century and present day. A reception follows.

Co-organized with Curators Circles: Fashion Council and Art of South Asia and the Middle East.

This program is scheduled to be an in-person event, however details may be subject to change.
