Musical and other artistic practices contribute significantly to Islamic ceremonial and ritual life. For this program, Curators Circles members visit the home of Professor Richard Wolf and Katherine Freeze Wolf in Arlington. Both Richard and Katherine have conducted extensive musical research in Central Asia. These scholars share their remarkable collection of Central and South Asian instruments, as well as perform and talk with members about the place of music in Sufism and other forms of Islam.

Co-organized by Curators Circles: Art of South Asia and the Middle East and Musical Instruments.

This program is scheduled to be an in-person event, however details may be subject to change.
