The Museum of Modern Art, New York’s, acclaimed “New Photography” series celebrates its 40th anniversary edition with “New Photography 2025: Lines of Belonging.” On the occasion of the anniversary, hear from MoMA curators about 13 international artists and collectives from Johannesburg, Kathmandu, Mexico City, and New Orleans, who are creatively combining personal narratives with structural, environmental, and colonial histories to highlight forms of belonging that shape communities and expand the horizons of photography.
