Before “Monet and Boston: Legacy Illuminated” closes, take a deeper look at two artists featured in the exhibition—one Monet's predecessor, the other his exact contemporary. Both were as beloved by Bostonians as they were admired by Monet. Learn from Julia Welch, assistant curator, Paintings, Art of Europe, how Jean-François Millet inspired Monet with his realist landscapes of rural France. Then explore the friendship and artistic affinity between Monet and Rodin with Marietta Cambareri, Senior Curator of European Sculpture and Jetskalina H. Phillips Curator of Judaica.
