The soon-to-open Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) in Bangalore, India, sets a new standard for museums in South Asia. MAP’s founder and trustee, Abhishek Poddar, has been deeply involved at every stage, from crafting its mission and developing its collection to planning the inaugural exhibition: a retrospective of the photographic work of artist Jyoti Bhatt (b. 1934). Co-organized by Curators Circles: Art of South Asia and the Middle East and Photography.
