Explore the collection in a new way! Join fellow Museum Council members, MFA curators, and The Urban Grape for an evening of art and wine.

Nonie Gadsden, Katharine Lane Weems Senior Curator of American Decorative Arts and Sculpture and Kathryn Gunsch, Teel Curator for African and Oceanic Art, will be joined by special guest, TJ Douglas, Founder and CEO of The Urban Grape. Nonie and Kathryn will each explore an object from MFA’s collection, and TJ will lead us in a wine pairing of each work.

To reserve your spot, please place your wine order directly through The Urban Grape website. Kindly note that space in this event is limited. All orders must be placed with The Urban Grape by Thursday, March 18 to ensure on-time delivery.

The Urban Grape was founded in 2010 by husband and wife team TJ and Hadley Douglas, and is located in the South End neighborhood of Boston. The store is known for being the first in the world to utilize the Progressive Scale, a unique system of organizing wines by their body, rather than varietal or region. The concept is simple - DRINK PROGRESSIVELY - and is so popular with novice and experienced wine drinkers alike that The Urban Grape has become one of the most successful independently-owned wine stores in the US.

To learn more about the Urban Grape, please visit their website at https://theurbangrape.shop/.

This event will be held over Zoom. Kindly note that space is limited.
