From the royal courts of Europe to the fans at Woodstock, the guitar has captivated audiences for centuries. In the first exhibition dedicated to its visual design and evolution, "Dangerous Curves: Art of the Guitar" revealed how fashion, technology, and musical tastes have literally shaped the world's most popular instrument.
The exhibition featured more than 130 guitars from museum and private collections around the world, including those owned by legendary performers John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Les Paul, Chet Atkins, and Prince. A free audio guide, narrated by James Taylor with commentary and recordings by leading musicians, guided visitors through this remarkable exhibition.
