To celebrate the centennial of Fenway Park, the Museum of Fine Arts and Boston Red Sox have partnered on an online photography contest. Fans of baseball and photography submitted their favorite Fenway photos from the past 100 years to three virtual galleries—Portrait, Landscape, and “Curveball.” From 700 submissions, six MVP’s (“Most Valuable Photos”) where chosen, three by MFA Director Malcolm Rogers and Red Sox Vice President/Historian Dick “Bresh” Bresciani and three voted by the fans. The winning photographs will be on view in an exhibition, appropriately located at the Museum’s Fenway entrance, from July 18–October 3.
"Grandstand to Gallery" is a collaboration between two Fenway institutions—the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Boston Red Sox—with Major League Baseball.
