On Saturday, June 6 the MFA hosted their 12th annual Summer Party with over 755 guests present, the most to ever attend! Elegantly summer-inspired with strings of lights flying overhead, guests sipped cocktails and enjoyed light bites, along with bidding on over 20 works of art in our silent auction and participating in a prize drawing with items like Caribbean vacations and a private shopping experience at DVF. The night was rounded out with dancing to music by DJ Cashman and Snack Attack. Finally, guests were invited to an after party hosted by our friends at Liquid Art House.
The overwhelming success of this year’s party would not have been possible without the support of the many organizations and individuals that contributed their time and tireless efforts. First, a big thank you to our Lead Sponsor, Valentino. Along with sponsoring the main party, they hosted a pre-party on May 13 for Museum Council members at their Newbury Street store to meet style maker Carlos Souza. Another big thank you to our VIP benefit print artist Juan Travieso, a SMFA grad who came up from Miami for the party. Thanks also to Ruta Laukien and Diane Mantouvalos from Liquid Art House who helped spearhead the collaboration on the after party. Also, thanks to Asia Kepka for flying back over from Poland early to perform in character as Horace and Agnes. Finally, a huge thank you to the Summer Party Host Committee, including co-chairs Elizabeth Dobrska and Brendan Ciecko, Elizabeth Dunne Marcoulier and Jason Marcoulier, and Pia and Paul Miller, who helped shape the party into the huge success it was!
