Hacking Arts is made up of students, alumni, and members of the MIT Sloan School of Management Entertainment, Media, and Sports Club in partnership with MIT's Center for Art, Science, and Technology and the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship. The Hacking Arts initiative specifically celebrates innovation in the creative industries: design, fashion, film/video, gaming, music, performing arts, virtual/augmented reality and visual arts.
VIP ticket holders to this year’s Summer Party were treated to a dazzling installation and performance at the VIP pre-party. For many, this was their first exposure to the group, but the Summer Party wasn’t Hacking Arts’s first time at the MFA: they participated at the MFA overnights last fall featuring A Robotic Cat Café, Technological Reflections on History as Living Material.
