Halloween at the MFA Recap

Museum Council

Halloween arrived at the MFA a few days early this year! On October 28, the Patron Program and Museum Council welcomed more than 160 guests to the William I. Koch Gallery, 250, to celebrate Halloween festivities. Attendees haunted a delicious “Blood-Curdling Brunch,” complete with a “Mummosa Bar.” Families buried themselves in seasonal activities for children of all ages, like freaky face painting, Día de los Muertos-inspired masks, and spooky story time under the watchful eyes of the monumental Roman sculpture of the goddess Juno in the George D. and Margo Behrakis Gallery, 207. Special thanks to the Patron Programming Subcommittee for making the event spooktacularly beautiful!

Halloween at the MFA marks the start of a new year of multi-generational programming for Museum Council families. Join us on Saturday, December 16, for our next family-focused event, Museum Council Playdate, and on Sunday, March 4, for a family activity in conjunction with a lecture on the making of the exhibition “Klimt and Schiele: Drawn.”
