Adventures in Art for Teens on the Autism Spectrum

Ancient Artistry: Sculpting Through Time

In this exciting session, we will dive into the fascinating world of ancient sculpture and art from various civilizations. During our exploration, we will discover the important role that art played in ancient societies, particularly in the depiction of religious figures, rulers, and cultural symbols. By observing and discussing the ways in which ancient artists chose to represent their beliefs and values, we will gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual and cultural aspects that were central to these diverse civilizations.

After this enriching discussion, we will put our newfound knowledge into action by heading to the studio to create our own sculptures inspired by ancient art from around the world. This hands-on experience will allow us to unleash our inner artists and channel the creative spirit of various ancient cultures.

By participating in this fun and educational experience, we will not only learn about ancient art from different civilizations but also gain valuable insights into the ways in which art can reflect and shape cultural beliefs and values across time and geography. So come join us on this exciting journey into the world of ancient sculpture and art from diverse cultures!
